Phlegmariurus Section: Description, Characteristics, and Species in China

Epiphytic or terrestrial habit. Mature branches are erect or slightly pendulous; leaves are lanceolate, elliptic-lanceolate, ovate-lanceolate, or linear, and are leathery or thinly leathery in texture. The leaves are arranged in a spiral pattern. The trophophylls and sporophylls are similar in appearance. This section comprises six species that are known to occur in China.
