In this study, a novel approach was proposed to prepare synthetic adhesives with reassemble ability by introducing dynamic covalent bonds into the adhesive networks. Epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) was used as the substrate and Diels-Alder bonds were introduced to enhance the reassemble ability. The synthesis route of the adhesive was successfully designed and confirmed through various characterization techniques. The mechanical properties and solvent resistance of the adhesive were regulated by adjusting the quantity of cross-linker. The adhesive also exhibited self-healing capability and the ability to undergo recycling. The adhesive possessed hydrophilicity and showed a decrease in viscosity during the reassembly process. This study provides a new direction for the development of high-performance synthetic adhesives.
