Motivated to Become a Construction Engineer: Overcoming Past Academic Challenges

Continuing my studies and achieving my goal of becoming a construction engineer is a top priority for me. I'm highly motivated to pursue this path because I have a passion for the field and recognize the opportunities it presents for personal and professional growth. However, I acknowledge that I faced several barriers in previous semesters that hindered my academic performance. I struggled to attend classes regularly, take notes, and pay attention in class due to distractions like texting and surfing the internet. Additionally, I didn't allocate enough time to studying and was unsure of how to effectively prepare for exams. Moreover, I became frustrated with my performance and gave up, neglecting to keep up with course readings. I'm determined to overcome these challenges and improve my academic performance by seeking support from professors and peers, developing effective study habits, and prioritizing my time management skills.
