This study investigated the moderating effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship between stress and job performance. A total of 200 employees from diverse organizations participated. Data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire measuring perceived stress, emotional intelligence, and job performance. Results revealed a significant negative relationship between stress and job performance. Emotional intelligence significantly moderated this relationship, indicating that employees with high emotional intelligence were less affected by stress and exhibited better job performance than those with low emotional intelligence. These findings suggest that emotional intelligence can enhance an individual's ability to cope with stress and maintain high job performance levels. Therefore, organizations should consider investing in emotional intelligence training programs for employees to improve their stress management skills and enhance job performance.
