Struggling with Spoken English: My Experience with Poor Short-Term Memory

At that time, I felt that my spoken English was very poor. When everyone stood up and chattered, I liked to sit in my chair and not answer. Although I could understand what was being said when listening, I really couldn't repeat it. My short-term memory was very poor.
