Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 78-80: Meaning, Translation & Explanation

Surah Al-Kahf, ayat 78-80:

وَكَانَ الْمَدِينَةُ تَمْرَحُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهَا وَكَانَتْ خَيْرًا مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ وَيَرَوْنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَهُوَ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فِي رَوْضَاتِ الْجَنَّةِ لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيرُ

Translation:

'And the city was [situated] on a riverbank, the inhabitants thereof being secure and well provided with all necessities from their Lord. And they were grateful for His blessings. And the city was far better than the ones they had been building before.'

'And those who have been unjust will see the punishment coming upon them, and they will be filled with fear of what they have earned. And those who have believed and done righteous deeds will be in the gardens of Paradise, having whatever they wish in the presence of their Lord. That is the great bounty.'
