My First Story Contest

Last weekend, my school organized an English story contest. I was so excited and nervous because it was my first time participating in a writing competition. I'd never written a story in English before, but I decided to give it a try.

I spent the whole week brainstorming ideas and writing drafts. Finally, I came up with a story about a little girl who found a magical key while playing in the park. She didn't know what the key was for, but she kept it safe in her pocket.

One day, the little girl heard a mysterious voice calling her name. She followed the voice and ended up in a secret garden. There, she met a fairy who told her that the key would unlock a treasure chest with a special gift inside.

The little girl was excited and curious. She used the key to open the treasure chest and found a beautiful necklace. The fairy explained that the necklace was a symbol of courage and kindness, and that the little girl had earned it by being brave and helping others.

I was proud of my story and submitted it to the contest. A week later, the results were announced, and I couldn't believe it when my name was called as the winner! I was overjoyed and grateful for the experience.

Participating in the story contest taught me that trying new things can be scary, but it's worth it in the end. I also learned that hard work and creativity can pay off, and that writing in English is not as difficult as I thought. I can't wait to participate in more writing contests in the future!
