My First Attempt at English Story Writing Competition

Last week, my school held an English story writing competition. I was very excited to participate in it as I have always enjoyed writing stories. However, I was also nervous as I had never written a story in English before.

I spent a lot of time brainstorming ideas and finally decided to write a story about a magical forest. The story was about a little girl named Lily who discovered a secret entrance to a magical forest. In the forest, she met a friendly unicorn who helped her solve a mystery and find a magical crystal that could save the forest from destruction.

I worked hard on the story, making sure to use proper grammar and vocabulary. I also asked my English teacher to help me proofread it. Finally, I submitted my story to the competition.

A few days later, the results were announced. I was overjoyed to hear that my story had won the first prize! My parents and teacher were also very proud of me.

Participating in this competition has taught me that trying new things can be scary, but it can also lead to amazing experiences and opportunities. I am now more confident in my English writing skills and can't wait to participate in more competitions in the future.
