The dimensional emotion model provides a more detailed description of emotions, using coordinate axes and numerical values to distinguish between different emotions. Compared to discrete models, the dimensional model has stronger expansibility and descriptiveness, and the basic emotions in the discrete model can be mapped to the dimensional emotion model. Therefore, for emotion recognition tasks, the dimensional model is more suitable for quantitative analysis of emotions.
