China's Intelligent Development: Policy-Driven Growth and Key Milestones

As evidenced by the trend graph presented earlier, China's intelligent development has exhibited remarkable growth in 2013 and 2016, which may have been influenced by proactive policies. The development of AI in China can be characterized by two significant milestones. Firstly, in late December 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the 'Guidance on Promoting the Development of Industrial Robot Industry' with the objective of facilitating the widespread implementation of industrial robots in key areas of industrial manufacturing. Secondly, in May 2015, the Chinese government initiated efforts to expedite the execution of the 'Made in China 2025' plan to accelerate the intelligent transformation of production equipment.
