Sharing Health Knowledge with Rural Children: A Medical Student's Volunteer Experience
As a medical student, I volunteered to teach health and disease prevention to underprivileged children in a rural community. We started by discussing and assessing the health needs of the community and then created a plan to educate the children. We taught them about basic hygiene, nutrition, and the prevention of common illnesses. We also encouraged them to share what they learned with their families and friends. Through this experience, I learned the importance of community service, empathy, and the satisfaction of educating and helping others.
