Public Health Postgraduate Applicant: Research & Clinical Experience
As a nursing student preparing for the cross-disciplinary postgraduate entrance examination in Public Health, I have gained valuable experience in research and clinical practice.
My involvement in a national-level project, 'Information Needs-Centered Self-Management Program for Stable COPD Patients,' has equipped me with skills in project management, data collection and analysis, and literature review. Through this project, I have gained a deep understanding of the importance of patient-centered care and the role of healthcare professionals in promoting self-management among patients.
Furthermore, I have also led a community-based project aimed at preventing falls among elderly residents. Although the project did not win an award, it provided me with valuable experience in community health promotion and team collaboration.
In addition to these projects, I hold a certificate in ICH-GCP and have participated in GCP training organized by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. These experiences have equipped me with a solid foundation of good clinical practice and ethical conduct in clinical research.
During my internship at Hangzhou Normal University Affiliated Hospital, I had the opportunity to attend lectures and participate in clinical rounds in multiple departments. This exposure to various specialties has broadened my knowledge and enabled me to apply theoretical concepts to real-world clinical situations.
Overall, my research and clinical experiences have given me a strong foundation in patient-centered care, research methodology, and interdisciplinary collaboration, which I believe will be valuable assets as I pursue further education in Public Health.
