Public Health Master's Applicant: Nursing Background & Research Experience

As a nursing student preparing for cross-disciplinary graduate studies in public health, I believe that my research strengths lie in my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations. My involvement in a nationally-funded project on 'COPD patient self-management plans' has strengthened my understanding of the importance of information needs in patient care. Additionally, I have led a community project aimed at preventing falls in elderly populations, which has sharpened my problem-solving and leadership skills.

Moreover, my professional training in 'ich-gcp' and participation in 'gcp' training organized by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association have equipped me with a solid foundation in clinical research methodology. During my internship at Hangzhou Normal University Affiliated Hospital, I had the opportunity to attend several small lectures on various medical specialties, where I learned how to analyze and intervene in clinical cases. I also presented a report on my observations during my internship, which further enhanced my research and presentation skills.

Overall, I believe that my research strengths include my ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience, my problem-solving and leadership skills, and my solid foundation in clinical research methodology.
