Public Health Research Expertise: Nursing Background, National Projects, and GCP Certification
As a nursing student who has successfully transitioned to public health, I possess a strong foundation in both fields, offering me an interdisciplinary perspective that is invaluable in research. My experience working on a nationally-funded research project, centered around self-management plans for patients with COPD, has honed my ability to design and execute studies, analyze data, and present findings. Additionally, my passion for geriatric care led me to independently conduct a community-based analysis of factors contributing to falls in elderly populations. While the project didn't receive an award, I learned valuable lessons about perseverance and the importance of collaboration.
My ICH-GCP certification and participation in GCP training hosted by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association have given me a thorough understanding of the ethical principles and rigorous standards necessary in clinical research. My internship at Hangzhou Normal University Affiliated Hospital provided me with hands-on experience in patient care, as well as opportunities to share my knowledge through presentations and reports. Overall, my interdisciplinary background, research experience, dedication to ethical standards, and communication skills make me a strong candidate for any research project in the field of public health.
