Silo Cargo Inspection Report: Mold, Poor Flowability, and High Temperatures Discovered
At the invitation of the consignee, we visited the terminal silos to conduct a cargo inspection. Present at the inspection were Mr. Sun, the consignee's representative, Mr. Li, the public appraiser for the consignee, Mr. Li, the inspector for the lessee, and Mr. Lu, our inspector. The terminal informed us that approximately 4,000 tons of cargo remained stored in silos 10 and 12.
Upon entering warehouse 10 through the middle inspection port, we observed that the goods were moldy and had poor flowability, requiring manual assistance to flow. We also discovered clumps of goods near the walls of the hold. To assess the temperature, we randomly measured some temperatures and noted that the surface temperature of the pile was as high as 44 degrees Celsius, while the external temperature was approximately 18 degrees Celsius at the time.
We did not find any ventilation equipment or temperature monitoring equipment in the warehouse. This lack of proper environmental controls raises serious concerns about the potential for further deterioration of the cargo and potential safety hazards.
