Based on our spot investigation and information from our crew, we have preliminarily concluded that the damage was caused by the grab hitting the vessel's structure during the discharging operation. In addition to the stevedore and crew's descriptions, we have gathered the following evidence to support our conclusion:

First, the damaged hole is located on the sloping plate of No. 5 cargo hold, a position that could only be reached by the grab. Furthermore, the grab was found to be covered with fuel, indicating that it was involved in the incident.

Secondly, we observed obvious concave deformation and scratches in the damaged area, which suggest that the damage was caused by physical impact rather than corrosion. However, we will continue to collect relevant documents and conduct a close inspection to further exclude the possibility of corrosion damage.
