Eight Great Awakenings Sutra Buddha Says Eight Great Awakenings Sutra in EnglishEight Great Awakenings Sutra Translated by Shramana An Shr Gao of the Latter Han Dynasty Buddhist Disciples! At all time
Our actions have consequences. Good deeds lead to good karma, bad deeds lead to bad karma. The ten wholesome deeds bring happiness, the ten unwholesome deeds lead to suffering. Bodhisattvas always strive to do good and avoid evil, cultivating virtue and wisdom to benefit all sentient beings.
The Sixth Awakening: All things are empty and devoid of self-nature. The mind is the source of all phenomena. By investigating and understanding the emptiness of all things, one can transcend suffering and attain enlightenment.
The Seventh Awakening: All sentient beings have Buddha-nature. Everyone has the potential to become enlightened. By cultivating the six paramitas and practicing the ten wholesome deeds, we can awaken our Buddha-nature and attain liberation.
The Eighth Awakening: The path to enlightenment is through the practice of mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom. By practicing these three, we can overcome our afflictions and attain ultimate liberation.
Buddhist disciples, these eight great awakenings are the teachings of the Buddha. Sincerely recite and contemplate them day and night, and gradually awaken to the truth. May all sentient beings attain enlightenment and be free from suffering
