Cargo Update: Silo Inspection Request, Sample Testing & Mixed Loading
We received an email from the consignee's insurance company yesterday evening informing us that the consignee has customized a set of clearance equipment to mitigate potential losses. They have invited us to conduct an on-site inspection of this new equipment. We contacted the consignee's shipping department this morning and learned that the equipment is already installed in the silo, with clearance expected to begin in the next few days.
The consignee anticipates that the clearance rate may not meet the loading requirements for our ship, meaning our remaining cargo will likely be loaded alongside other cargo. This could result in our cargo being mixed with cargo from other ships before arriving at the factory. We are currently awaiting confirmation on the specific date our cargo will be shipped.
Please advise if we should accept the invitation to inspect the silo.
Additionally, the test samples have arrived at the laboratory and testing is scheduled to begin next Monday. Results are expected within a week. We have invited the lessee's inspector to witness the unpacking and they have confirmed their attendance. Please confirm if our inspector should also be present.
We have not yet received a transportation plan for sampling the remaining cargo in the silo. We await your further instructions on this matter.
