Component Replacement Analysis During Dry-Docking Repair
During a recent dry-docking repair, several components were replaced, including the sliding piece, one sleeve, O-rings, gasket, back up ring, oil seal, four sliding blocks, locking plate, rung spacer, locking wires, spacer ring, plugs, shim, and seven sleeves. A thorough inspection of these components revealed no visible damage. Therefore, it is our assessment that the replacements were part of scheduled maintenance during the dry-docking and were likely due to excessive wear or reaching the end of their service life. We believe these replacements were not accident-related.
