Fuel Tank Maintenance Underway: Ventilation and Cleaning Before Repairs

The manhole cover of the 2S fuel tank was opened at 1430hrs. However, due to safety concerns, workers are currently unable to enter the work area. Ventilation measures are being implemented to ensure a safe environment before beginning work. The repair team has informed us that they will initially use a dirty oil receiving ship to extract the remaining oil from the tank. Following this, manual cleaning will be carried out. The cleaning process is estimated to take around 4 to 5 days. As for the repair plan, a discussion will be held tomorrow on-site with the surveyor to finalize the details.
