Preventing Oil Pollution from Rain: Deck and Hull Cleaning Underway

In anticipation of rain tonight, we have taken proactive measures to prevent potential oil pollution. We requested the dock to clean the deck and hull of any oil contamination to avoid runoff into the sea. Dock personnel arrived at approximately 12:30 pm and began cleaning the deck and hull. Contaminated substances and spilled cargo were collected in woven bags and transported to the shore. The cleaning crew is diligently working on the hull with the help of a lifting platform, and this work is ongoing. Furthermore, due to the contaminated cargo storage yard's proximity to the dock, we have reminded the dock multiple times to take precautions to prevent oil pollution from rainwater runoff.
