Around 70 per cent of Covid-19 patients in Hong Kong are experiencing long-term after-effects, according to a survey by the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The study, which is said to be the largest in Asia of people with long Covid, involved more than 10,000 participants. Of these, 64.1 per cent reported experiencing symptoms for more than six months after their initial infection, while 70.3 per cent said they were still experiencing symptoms at the time of the survey. The most common long-term symptoms reported were fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and muscle weakness. The researchers called for more support for people with long Covid, including access to specialist clinics and rehabilitation services
