This paper elucidates the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of blue-green water resources and the allocation pattern of rainfall-blue-green water in the Dongjiang River Basin from 1970 to 2017. The average depth of blue water is 1240.8mm, and the average depth of green water is 840.7mm. The water resources in the basin are mainly composed of blue water, accounting for 60.1%. The spatial distribution of blue water is basically consistent with that of precipitation, while the distribution of green water flow and storage space is more uniform than that of blue water. There is no significant change in the blue and green water storage in the basin, but the green water flow shows a significant downward trend. There are significant differences in blue water in drought years, normal years, and flood years, while the differences in green water flow and storage are small. The green water coefficient in drought years (53.6%) is higher than that in flood years (29.9%), and the green water coefficient shows a decreasing trend from upstream to downstream. In drought years, about 53.6% of the annual available water resources in the basin are green water. This result is of great scientific significance for clarifying the evolution of blue-green water resources and the scientific utilization of green water resources under the influence of climate and land use changes in downstream areas.
