I've always loved learning new things. In 2019, I taught myself printmaking out of pure curiosity. When I shared my work on social media, a curator took notice and invited me to participate in an international exchange project in Sweden. It was quite the process to get my visa sorted, but just as I was ready to go, COVID-19 hit. After a ton of setbacks, I finally made it to Sweden from China. It was my first time traveling solo for such a long time and I got to see how different countries were handling the pandemic. It was eye-opening.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I was stuck in Sweden for almost three months. For most of that time, I was working and living alone. But it gave me the chance to reflect on my life and work. Even though there were a ton of uncertainties and difficulties, like grounded flights and countries shutting down, I kept at it. I even held a solo exhibition in Sweden before heading back home. It was amazing to see how much the Swedish artists loved my work. This experience will stay with me forever.
