University Welcome Speech: Embracing the Journey and Shaping Your Future

As president of the university, I welcome you to this campus. First of all, accept my congratulations on your triumph of years of hard work. But it must be kept in mind that you still have to race against time, and that your future is still built on a strong foundation of what you have done.

You will have a unique experience in four years to come. You will meet fascinating people, explore new subjects, and pursue new passions. But you may feel overwhelmed by the wealth of courses available to you, and uncomfortable with some experiences.

In response to the above, you'd better make the most of what you have, challenge yourselves, embrace both pleasant and unpleasant experiences which will enrich your life, and as inheritors of the hard work of your families and teachers, bear the responsibility to pass on the spirit as well as transmit knowledge.

I promise that you will find your college experience as rewarding as expected and that your journey toward self-discovery and your progress toward finding your own passion will yield more than personal advancement.
