Irtem and his colleagues studied the wave run-up on slopes with isolated waves in the presence of non-submerged rigid vegetation in indoor experiments, but did not consider the effect of changes in the slope of the foreshore on wave run-up in the presence of rigid vegetation. The results showed that when the width of the vegetation was long enough, the distance between the vegetation and the still water surface had little effect on wave run-up. Under the same distribution density, the arrangement of vegetation still had an effect on wave run-up, and the lowest run-up was observed in the staggered arrangement.
