The Maritime Bureau requested the crew members to verify the exact amount of discharge. Based on the discharge timeline, the crew estimated that a total of 1 cubic meter of domestic sewage was discharged, with 0.5 cubic meters of untreated domestic sewage released in the Bohai Sea area and 0.5 cubic meters of treated domestic sewage discharged during the berthing period. Subsequently, the Maritime Bureau conducted an investigation and prepared a situation report, which the crew members were requested to sign. The content of the situation report is as follows:

The vessel "TUJU ARROW" departed from Changshu Port and sailed to Tianjin on this voyage, arriving at Tianjin Lingang L12 Terminal at approximately 0424 hours on September 6, 2023. The ship "TUJU ARROW" is owned by Gearbulk Shipowning Limited, and the ship management company is Gearbulk Norway AS.

The vessel "TUJU ARROW" left Changshu Port at around 1306 hours on September 3, 2023. At approximately 2218 hours on September 3, the direct discharge valve for domestic sewage on the vessel "TUJU ARROW" was opened. The vessel entered the Bohai Sea area at around 1430 hours on September 5. At approximately 2340 hours on September 5, the direct discharge valve for domestic sewage was closed, and the domestic sewage was discharged into the sea after undergoing treatment by the sewage treatment system. During this period, the vessel discharged approximately 0.5 cubic meters of untreated domestic sewage directly into the Bohai Sea. At around 0424 hours on September 6, the vessel berthed at Tianjin Lingang L12 Terminal. Until the maritime law enforcement officers boarded the vessel, the external discharge valve for domestic sewage remained open, resulting in the discharge of approximately 0.5 cubic meters of treated domestic sewage during the berthing period.
