Could you help me polish the following sentences The paralleled E-dipole and M-dipole radiations can generate two orthogonal electric fields such that the 90° phase difference is naturally achieved wh
The concept of generating two orthogonal electric fields with a 90° phase difference using paralleled E-dipole and M-dipole radiations has been explored [11]-[13]. Building upon this idea, a CP ME dipole antenna is proposed, as illustrated in Fig. 1. The antenna consists of a parasitic dipole and a loop formed by an S-shape patch with a pair of vertical strip lines excited by an aperture on the ground plane. The parasitic dipole generates electric dipole radiation, while the loop produces magnetic dipole radiation. By carefully designing the geometry of the dipole and loop, a pair of orthogonal electric fields are generated, resulting in CP radiation across a wide operating bandwidth.
To facilitate the excitation of the antenna, a Y-shape power divider constructed using SICL is proposed. The feeding network is a two-layer sandwich structure, with the Y-shape microstrip line on the top surface of Substrate 1 being shielded by metallic vias through Substrate 1 and Substrate 2. A slot etched on the top of Substrate 2 serves as the feed of the radiator and is connected to the Y-shape microstrip line. A copper ground with an etched slot is placed between the feeding network and the radiator, ensuring proper positioning for soldering the radiator.
To simulate the proposed antenna, the commercial EM simulator Ansoft HFSS was employed. Rogers 5880 PCBs with a relative dielectric constant of 2.2 were used throughout the work. The thicknesses of Substrate 1 and Substrate 2 are 0.787 mm and 0.381 mm, respectively. The copper thickness of the ground and radiator are 0.3 mm and 0.8 mm, respectively. The height of the radiator (Hr) is 4 mm, which corresponds to 0.125 wavelength in free space at 9.35 GHz. The detailed dimensions of the proposed antenna can be found in Table I
