A senator once drank a strange brew, That made his colleagues say "eww". For it wasn't coffee, tea or wine, But a cup of urine, so divine.

He claimed it was a health elixir, Said it made him feel much quicker. But as he sipped his yellow treat, Others around him couldn't help but retreat.

The senator, with a grin on his face, Said it was the best thing he'd ever taste. He called it "liquid gold", so pure, But others just couldn't endure.

They gagged and coughed, and cried out in disgust, As the senator sipped his urine, with trust. He laughed and shrugged, and took another sip, As his colleagues watched, with a trembling lip.

In the end, the senator was fine, Saved by his love for urine, so divine. But the rest of us can only shake our heads, At the strange things that go on, in our nation's beds.
