And being proactive means that I am always looking for opportunities to learn and grow, to challenge myself, and to make a positive impact on the world around me. This is why I decided to pursue a career in public health, after originally starting out in nursing.

As a nurse, I saw firsthand the importance of preventative care and the impact that public health interventions can have on a community. I wanted to expand my knowledge and skills beyond the individual level and into the broader public health arena, where I could work to improve the health and well-being of entire populations.

Through my coursework and experiences in public health, I have deepened my understanding of the social determinants of health, the impact of policies and systems on health outcomes, and the importance of community engagement and advocacy in promoting health equity.

I am excited to continue my journey in public health, always seeking out new opportunities to learn and grow, and to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
