Academic Support Program for Aaron - Grade 9

Aaron's grades have declined significantly, resulting in him failing two subjects during the first progress report, including his core AP course, World History and with an F in Honours Chemistry. Given the critical nature of this situation and the fact that Aaron is now in grade 9, it is important that we address him approach to learning promptly. The upcoming vacation period presents an excellent opportunity for you to discuss with Aaron the significance of active participation and commitment to his studies, especially as this is only the first month of school. Upon our return to school, we have arranged to meet with several grade 9 students, including Aaron, who could benefit from additional academic support. We strongly urge Aaron to join the Academic Support Program, which will replace an elective period. 1. Attend all Academic Support lessons and use the time to work on homework assignments.
2. Make effective notes in class, record homework, note down announcements, and write which days have tests, and for which class.
3. Attend all designated student hours for the classes where Aaron is currently struggling. We kindly request that you discuss this matter with Aaron and offer your full support in his participation in the Academic Support Program.
