物流绿色包装的论文国外研究现状
Introduction
In recent years, the issue of environmental sustainability in logistics has gained increasing attention from both academics and practitioners. Packaging has been identified as one of the major contributors to environmental pollution. Green packaging has emerged as an important strategy for reducing the environmental impact of logistics activities. This paper reviews the literature on green packaging in logistics and provides an overview of the current state of research in this area.
Literature review
Green packaging refers to the use of environmentally friendly materials and technologies in the design, production, and disposal of packaging. The aim of green packaging is to reduce the environmental impact of packaging while maintaining its protective function. The concept of green packaging is closely related to the principles of sustainability, including the reduction of waste, the conservation of resources, and the minimization of carbon emissions.
Several studies have examined the environmental impact of packaging in logistics. For example, a study by Geyer et al. (2017) estimated that global plastic waste generation amounted to 6.3 billion tons between 1950 and 2015, with only 9% of that waste being recycled. The study also found that plastic waste is expected to increase to 12 billion tons by 2050, which highlights the urgent need for sustainable packaging solutions.
Many companies have implemented green packaging strategies in their logistics operations. For example, Walmart has set a goal to achieve 100% recyclable, reusable, or compostable packaging for its private label products by 2025 (Walmart, 2020). Similarly, Amazon has launched its "Frustration-Free Packaging" program, which aims to reduce waste and improve customer experience by using recyclable materials and eliminating excess packaging (Amazon, 2020).
Several studies have also examined the economic and social benefits of green packaging in logistics. For example, a study by Jabbour et al. (2014) found that green packaging can lead to cost savings, improved customer satisfaction, and enhanced corporate reputation. The study also highlighted the importance of collaboration between stakeholders in the supply chain to achieve sustainable packaging solutions.
Conclusion
Green packaging has emerged as an important strategy for reducing the environmental impact of logistics activities. The literature suggests that companies can achieve economic and social benefits by implementing green packaging strategies. However, there is still a need for more research to identify the most effective green packaging solutions and to understand the barriers to their implementation. This paper provides a starting point for further research in this area.
