High-Yielding Maize Hybrid XianYu 335 Achieves Regional Yield Potential in North China Plain

Compared to the traditional maize hybrid (ZhengDan 958), the modern hybrid (XianYu 335) achieved the highest grain yield of 14.9 Mg ha-1 with a density of 7.5 × 104 plants ha-1, which reached the level of the region's yield potential in the North China Plain. This finding suggests that XianYu 335 has the potential to significantly contribute to maize production in the region.
