Maize Density Limitation in Northeast China: A Balancing Act Between Temperature and Drought

In Northeast China, maize is predominantly grown as a monoculture due to the region's longer growing seasons. However, the cultivation of maize in this area is hindered by lower temperatures during the vegetative stage and seasonal droughts during the reproductive stage, which pose significant limitations on increasing maize density. These climatic factors, occurring in tandem, present a complex challenge for optimizing maize production in this region.
