LSTM and CNN for Brain Image Segmentation: A Novel Approach by Gao et al. in 2018

In 2018, Gao et al. proposed a novel approach to segment brain images by combining LSTM and CNN. Their method aimed to capture and model the temporal relationship between different brain MR slice images. Through this integration, they achieved successful segmentation of brain images.
