This experiment was conducted using a three-electrode system on a Wuhan KOST CS350H electrochemical workstation. The experimental setup consisted of a well-sealed H-type electrolytic cell with a proton exchange membrane separating the two compartments. The anode compartment contained a 0.5 M H2SO4 solution, while the cathode compartment was filled with an acetonitrile solution of [Bmim]BF4 or TBABF4, saturated with high-purity CO2 (>99.99%). The modified electrode prepared was used as the working electrode, where protons were transferred from the anode compartment to the electrode surface in the cathode compartment through the proton exchange membrane during the electrocatalytic process. The reference electrode and counter electrode were Ag/Ag+ electrode and platinum electrode, respectively. The device for electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 is shown in the diagram.
