Work-Life Balance: Reasons and Solutions for the Modern Dilemma

Nowadays, many people have difficulties balancing work with other parts of their lives. I think it is because of both themselves and the trend of economic development. \n\nPeople working efficiency can be one of the reasons they tend to be independent at the workplace for they are told not to bother others instead of trying their best to solve the problem even if this costs them longer time. For example, in some companies that have Asians and Americans, though they are in the same working group, Asians are too shy to reject jobs not belonging to them. While Americans often communicate instantly with their team to discuss things together or to seek help from others. That may be the reason why Asians feel more pressure than Americans, and they sacrifice personal time for work. As a result, people may improve their efficiency by taking different and useful methods, like working together. \n\nThe trend of economic development can be to blame for the loss of balance between work time and other time due to globalization. People have to learn more knowledge, sharpen their skills, and develop their abilities. Otherwise, they may be deserted by the worldwide economic markets. In other words, as long as they cannot contribute as much as others driving in the same field, they will be expelled by employers. However, they need money to meet their basic needs rather than wait for government financial aid. Therefore they have to bear such a lifestyle. \n\nIn conclusion, only if people improve themselves can people handle their life, leaving enough time for their own to solve this problem. Governments also should adjust social welfare and even make rules or laws to prevent companies from crushing workers. Besides, employees should unite as one like a fortress to work out problems using the power of technology.
