Rabi frequency

The Rabi frequency, named after Isidor Rabi, is the rate at which an atom or a molecule undergoes transition between two quantum states under the influence of an electromagnetic field. It is defined as the product of the amplitude of the driving field and the coupling strength between the field and the transition. The Rabi frequency is an important parameter in various areas of physics, including quantum optics, atomic and molecular physics, and quantum information processing.
