Effect of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PG-9 on the composition of endophytic bacterial communities in apple root system
The impact of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PG-9 on the dominant genera of endophytic bacteria in the apple root system is shown in Table 10. After treatment with the PG-9 strain, the relative abundance of the genus Rhizobium decreased from 86.95% to 78.85%, a decrease of 10.27%. The genus Azospirillum decreased from 0.84% to 0.45%, a decrease of 86.67%. However, the genus Bacillus increased from 0.10% to 3.53%, an increase of 35.3 times. The genus Paenibacillus increased from 0.02% to 2.32%, an increase of 140.96 times. The relative abundance of the genus Pseudomonas increased from 0.08% to 1.21%, an increase of 14.13 times. However, these differences were not significant (P>0.05). These results indicate that the application of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PG-9 can limit the growth of harmful microorganisms in the root system and promote the growth of beneficial microorganisms.
