Breast cancer is considered a devastating malignant tumor and the leading cause of cancer-related death among women in the majority of countries. Traditionally, clinical treatment for breast cancer has relied on surgery, with additional support from chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, and radiotherapy. However, the discovery of molecular markers and drug targets has opened up new possibilities for targeted treatments. Currently, gene targeting therapy for breast cancer primarily focuses on oncogenes, tumor suppressor genes, and tumor angiogenesis genes. Furthermore, there is an increasing recognition of the importance of immunotherapy. It is crucial to comprehend the key roles played by immune molecules in the development and progression of breast cancer. \n\nIn this study, we conducted differential analysis, survival analysis, and PPI network analysis to identify CCNB2 as a key gene. Via comprehensive analysis of independent cohorts with overall survival (OS) or recurrence-free survival (RFS) data for breast cancer (BRCA), we found that patients in the high CCNB2 expression group had a lower overall prognosis compared to the low expression group. These findings are consistent with previous studies by Cao et al. (2021), Moradpoor et al. (2021), and Sun et al. (2022). Additionally, both univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that the expression level of CCNB2 is an independent prognostic factor for BRCA.
