Dezhou Firefighters Rescue Stranded Chicks After Truck Accident

In Dezhou city, East China's Shandong Province, a truck carrying chickens was involved in a traffic accident, leaving the chickens stranded. The driver was concerned about the high density of chicken crates and the hot weather, fearing that the chicks would die from dehydration if left in the vehicle for too long. Seeking assistance, the driver contacted the fire brigade, who promptly responded by dispatching two vehicles and 12 personnel to the scene.

Upon arrival, the local firefighters took immediate action by spraying water onto the truck to cool it down. This process lasted for approximately 20 minutes. The driver mentioned that there were more than 4,000 chicks on board, and if not cooled in time, the accident would result in significant economic losses for him.
