Title: "The Haunting Shadows"

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

A decrepit and eerie abandoned house, covered in cobwebs, dust, and darkness. The wind whistles through the broken windows. The only light source is a flickering candle on a dusty table.

JANE (late 20s, skeptical and brave) steps cautiously into the room, accompanied by her best friend, LUCY (early 30s, fearful and jittery). They both hold flashlights, their beams cutting through the darkness.

JANE (whispering) This place gives me the creeps. Are you sure we should be here?

LUCY (nervously) Come on, Jane. This is the perfect opportunity to prove that ghosts don't exist.

They explore the room, scanning the old furniture and peeling wallpaper. Suddenly, a chilling GROAN echoes through the house. The candle extinguishes, plunging them into complete darkness.

LUCY (panicking) Jane, did you hear that? We need to leave!

JANE (steadying her voice) No, we can't leave now. We have to find out what's causing these sounds.

They continue their search, their flashlights revealing eerie paintings and cracked mirrors. The GROANS grow louder, resonating from the walls.

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - BASEMENT - NIGHT

Jane and Lucy descend into the dimly lit basement, where they find an old OUIJA BOARD on a table. The moment they touch it, the room temperature drops, and a chilling whisper fills the air.

WHISPER (sinisterly) Leave this place, or face your darkest fears.

Jane and Lucy exchange worried glances.

JANE (mocking) You can't scare us with empty threats!

Suddenly, the room shakes violently, and the basement door SLAMS shut, trapping them inside.

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - UPSTAIRS HALLWAY - NIGHT

Jane and Lucy desperately try to escape, but each door they open leads them back to the same hallway, as if they're trapped in a loop.

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - CHILD'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

They enter a child's room, filled with broken toys and a dusty crib. Dolls' eyes follow their every move. The door SLAMS shut behind them.

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Jane and Lucy find themselves back in the living room, surrounded by eerie shadows that seem to move on their own. The GROANS grow louder, echoing through the house.

A blood-curdling SCREAM pierces the air as Lucy is dragged violently into the darkness, disappearing without a trace.

JANE (teary-eyed) Lucy! No!

Jane runs through the house, her flashlight flickering. She stumbles upon an old photograph. It shows the ghost of a little girl, who resembles Lucy as a child.

JANE (realization) The ghost's unfinished business... It's Lucy!

Jane rushes back to the basement, where she finds Lucy's terrified spirit, trapped within an ethereal barrier.

JANE (firmly) Lucy, you need to let go of your fear. Face it head-on!

With newfound determination, Jane breaks the Ouija board, shattering the barrier. Lucy's spirit is released, and both friends embrace.

EXT. ABANDONED HOUSE - SUNSET

Jane and Lucy walk away from the haunted house, the sun setting behind them. They hold hands, forever bonded by their shared supernatural experience.
