During the second semester of the fourth grade, I have been working as an English teacher. It has been a challenging yet fulfilling experience for me. In this work summary, I would like to reflect on my teaching methods, classroom management, student progress, and areas for improvement.\n\nFirstly, I have used a variety of teaching methods to engage students in the learning process. I have incorporated games, songs, and interactive activities to make the lessons more interesting and enjoyable. For example, I introduced a "word of the day" activity where students learn a new English word each day and use it in a sentence. This has helped to enhance their vocabulary and speaking skills.\n\nFurthermore, I have focused on improving classroom management. I have established clear rules and expectations at the beginning of the semester and consistently reinforced them throughout the year. I have also made sure to give individual attention to each student and address their needs and concerns. By creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, students have become more motivated and engaged in the lessons.\n\nIn terms of student progress, I am proud to see the improvement in their English skills. Many students who were initially timid and hesitant to speak are now more confident in expressing themselves in English. Their reading and writing skills have also improved significantly. I have regularly assessed their progress through quizzes, tests, and classroom observations. This has helped me identify areas where students need additional support and tailor my teaching accordingly.\n\nHowever, there are still areas for improvement. I have noticed that some students struggle with grammar rules and pronunciation. In the upcoming semester, I plan to incorporate more targeted grammar and pronunciation exercises to help students overcome these challenges. I also aim to provide more opportunities for students to practice speaking and listening skills, as these areas are crucial for language acquisition.\n\nIn conclusion, my experience as an English teacher in the second semester of the fourth grade has been rewarding. I have utilized various teaching methods, maintained effective classroom management, and witnessed significant progress in student performance. Moving forward, I will continue to refine my teaching strategies and address areas that need improvement.
