Academic Paper Writing: Refining a Paragraph on Breast Cancer
Breast cancer (BC) is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and the fifth leading cause of cancer-related mortality in females. In 2020, approximately 2.3 million women received a diagnosis of BC, with 685,000 of them dying from the disease. The immunohistochemistry classification of BC primarily relies on the expression of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). These classifications include Luminal A, Luminal B, HER2-enriched, normal-like, and basal-like subtypes of BC [7–9]. Currently, the treatment of BC primarily involves radiation therapy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, surgery, and targeted therapy.
