Disabling Data Outputs with nOE Pin - Understanding Hi-Z State

The data outputs can be turned off using the output enable pin, nOE. When nOE is set to high, all data outputs, including OF, are disabled. However, the time it takes to access data and release the bus is too slow to enable or disable the outputs during high-speed operation. The Hi-Z state of the outputs is meant to be used when there is no activity for extended periods of time.
