NOI Abuse: Addressing Incorrect Enforcement Decisions & Seller Abuse

The issue of NOI abuse was first identified in 2020. In 2022, the TSE CDT became aware of the issue with local insights from SQ indicating that "Error" and "FARO" reason codes were the main reasons for reinstatement due to incorrect enforcement decisions and abusive notice submissions from Sellers. In 2023, APAC TSE prioritized addressing the "Error" reason code issue by committing to reducing the number of notices of infringement (NOI) with high volume listings (HVL) and false positives (FP).
