Surgical Intervention Recommendations for Early Gastric Cancer: Japanese Gastric Cancer Association Guidelines

Additional surgical intervention is recommended in cases of piecemeal resection, submucosal invasion that is deeper than 500 μm, the presence of vascular or lymphatic infiltration of tumor cells, or positive lateral or vertical margins.
