My Experience with the National Matriculation for Higher Education: A Reflection on Screening and Recruiting

Two years ago, I sat for the National Matriculation for Higher Education. Looking back, I can say it was a mixed experience. On one hand, it was a challenging test that tested my knowledge and skills in various subjects. On the other hand, the pressure to perform well was immense, and I felt like my entire future depended on the results.

As for the mechanisms of screening adequate students, I think the matriculation does a decent job of testing students' academic abilities. However, it does not necessarily reflect their potential or other qualities that make a good candidate for higher education. Factors such as extracurricular activities, leadership skills, and creativity are equally important but not evaluated in the matriculation.

Regarding recruiting qualified employees, I believe that academic qualifications alone are not sufficient. Employers should also consider soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and adaptability. These skills are essential for success in today's job market, and employers should prioritize them when recruiting new employees.
