AN/SPY-5 Radar System: US Navy's Advanced Air & Surface Surveillance

The AN/SPY-5 is a multifunction radar system used by the United States Navy for air and surface surveillance. It is the primary radar system used on the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and is capable of tracking and identifying targets at long ranges in all weather conditions. The AN/SPY-5 is also capable of providing fire control information for the ship's weapons systems. The system uses advanced digital processing to analyze radar returns and provides highly accurate target information to the ship's command and control systems. The AN/SPY-5 is currently the most advanced radar system in use by the US Navy.
