Hunan Province is located in the central part of China. It is bordered by Hubei Province to the north, Jiangxi Province to the east, Guangdong Province to the south, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to the southwest, and Chongqing Municipality to the northwest.
As of 2020, the total population of Hunan Province is approximately 68.8 million people.
According to the 6th National Population Census in 2010, the total number of minority people in Hunan Province is 8,082,200. The ethnic minority groups in Hunan include Miao, Tujia, Dong, Yao, Bai, Zhuang, and others.
As of 2019, the population of persons with disabilities in Hunan Province is approximately 4.19 million people.
